3 out of 5 stars Disappointed, everything with Fake Sugar   July 26, 2010

The recipes are under 200 calories because of the fake sugar and other low-calorie substitutes. Not at all what I expected.

4 out of 5 stars Hungry Girl Must   July 12, 2010

If you are a fan of Hungry Girl, then you know how awesome this book is. And if not, you need to get addicted to realize how awesome this book is. Quick and simple recipes to make 200 calorie snacks, meals and desserts. Soooo happy I broke down and finally bought it!

5 out of 5 stars Great Book!   July 9, 2010

By using just a few simple substitutions and adjusted cooking methods you can stay satisfied without sacrificing taste! Genius! I am incorporating the recipes into my weight watchers plan and staying full and not feeling like I am depriving myself.
Small suggestion...I personally do not like shirataki noodles, so just sub out some whole grain pasta. I make the "fettuccine hungry girlfredo veggie explosion" all the time. So indulgent tasting!

3 out of 5 stars Ingredients too specific   June 23, 2010

I find that I never have the ingredients for these recipes. Also, if I were go to buy the ingredients, most would go to waste since the recipes call for very small amounts of each ingredient. Not very convenient or inexpensive :(

4 out of 5 stars Yummy but not under 200 calories   June 21, 2010

I love the recipes in this book! The author shows you how to make your favorite foods but healthier and in better portions. Not only do I get a tasty meal, but I've lost weight and am learning how to eat healthier. My only criticism is that the recipes are not under 200 calories. I calculated out the calories for my favorites by hand (for the purpose of keeping a food journal) using the same brands she does. The totals were nowhere near what was in the book. They were still around 300 calories (not bad at all) but definitely not under 200. I still recommend the book, just beware that the title is misleading.
