Product Description
One of the nation’s top clinical nutritionists presents her 14-day program for treating and reversing gluten sensitivity, a condition that affects as much as 35 to 50 percent of the U.S. population and is a major contributing factor to an array of chronic illnesses
Struggling with weight gain? Plagued by fatigue? Suffering from joint pain? According to preeminent clinical nutritionist Dr. Shari Lieberman, these symptoms are among the hallmarks of a little-known but surprisingly common sensitivity to gluten, a protein in certain grains. Dr. Lieberman has been investigating gluten sensitivity for more than 20 years. In her experience, eliminating gluten can alleviate many troubling symptoms for which doctors often can’t find a cause, as well as chronic conditions for which mainstream medicine offers little hope of relief—including rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, lupus, and irritable bowel syndrome.
In fact, 85 percent of Dr. Lieberman’s clients who follow a gluten-free diet report dramatic improvement in their health—and scientific studies support her results.
In The Gluten Connection, Dr. Lieberman presents a simple questionnaire to help readers assess their risk for gluten sensitivity and provides a 14-day eating plan to start them on the path to improved health and vitality. She also recommends nutritional supplements to support and maximize the therapeutic potential of a gluten-free diet.

The Gluten Connection June 13, 2010 C. Alwardt (Boston, MA) Although I do not have a gluten intolerance, I went gluten free a few months ago to see if this may be causing symptoms that my doctor was unable to diagnose. It wasn't, but in the interm, I felt sooo much better for it and the foods were actually very tasteful. I wanted another book to refer to, so I bought "The Gluten Connection" which has been very easy to understand and very informative. I use if daily and when I go shopping. Great book to have.
Get Off Of The Wheat SAD Way Of Eating June 5, 2010 Thomas A. Majors (JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA) Stop being brainwashed by the food industry that only cares about how much of your hard earned money they can take from you. They buy stocks from the medical community because they know that if you get sick from eating bad food you must go to a doctor and vise versa the medical community buys stocks from the food industry. Sounds like a win win doesn't it?! Be very careful what you put into your mouth because if not you are asking for trouble. Get on the net and research what you are putting into your body. Take responsiblity for your health and don't put it into the hands of some doctor making an income off of you staying sick. If they cure you of what you have they put themselves out of business.
Very Informative! April 12, 2010 S. K. Hunter (Santa Cruz, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently decided to go on a gluten free diet due to chronic stomach issues, but wanted more information. This book gave me all I needed to know. Written in a clear, concise, easy to understand way, this is perfect for people who are just starting to learn about gluten intolerance/ sensitivity and people very much in the know alike. I highly recommend it.
Extremely Informative Book! March 8, 2010 Denise C. Herder (Burlington, KS USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great book and extremely informative and easy to understand. I would recommend this book to anyone that has physical conditions that don't seem to be getting any better. You may have a gluten sensitivity! I do and if I adhere to a gluten free diet, I feel SO MUCH BETTER. It's worth a try!
Excellent statistical reference on gluten and celiac disease February 10, 2010 Dr. Tatiana DiDonato (Agawam, MA, US) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent statistical reference on gluten and celiac disease. This took an enormous amount of research to prepare, and for that, the gluten-free community is indebted to the authors and contributors of this book.
