Just OK, was hoping for more. September 9, 2010 Stephanie M. Souza (Salinas, CA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Was excited to purchase a new DVD from Jillian. I had high expectations for it. It is definitely different using a kettlebell and I found some of the exercises a little awkward. Wish there was more jumping exercises, found it a little boring and not very difficult. When I finished I only had a slight sweat. My all time favorite DVD of Jillian's is the boost your metabolism workout. I can do this any day and work up a good sweat and feel like I've worked almost every muscle in my body. This DVD which made me feel uncoordinated at times, may not get used too much. Overall rating C+.

I just received the new dvd 2 days ago. I am on level 1 and I am sore in new places. I am looking forward to seeing the results.
Another great one September 8, 2010 A. Grimsley 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
This DVD is another winner from Jillian. It's similar enough to 30-Day Shred that JM veterans will like it, but it's different enough that you won't get bored. The DVD is broken down into 2 levels. Both combine cardio and strength for a killer workout. Each one is only 27 minutes or so. It's great for beginners who aren't used to longer workouts, but those that are more fit can do both workouts for an hour-long intense workout. What's great about this workout is that it's adaptable for any fitness level. Those that are less fit can use lighter weights and stick to level 1, while the more advanced can do level 2 or both workouts together with higher weight. It's all up to you.
Great workout, but be careful! September 8, 2010 Joe Collins (Lexington, KY United States) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
(not Joe, this is his wife) This was my first Jillian Michaels workout, and I loved it! I was afraid when I read the word "cardio", which in my mind means fast, but it was slow and controlled. My heart rate was definitely up and I was sweating a lot. I say be careful because of the kettlebell. I don't have a kettlebell and used an 8 pound weight. There are several moves where you are swinging the kettlebell toward the front--if you aren't careful, you could swing it right into your TV! I decided to move to the side in case I accidently let go of the weight so I wouldn't destroy the TV :)
Good workout but reminiscent of 30 Day Shred September 8, 2010 danielleisms 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love Jillian's DVD work outs. I use them for my strength training mostly. I don't own a kettle ball so I did this workout at home with a 5lb hand weight. One of the girls in the video performs all moves with a hand weight so it's nice to be able to see how she is doing the moves versus Jillian with the kettle ball.
The actual workout itself (warm-up and cool down not included) is only about 20 minutes. At one point Jillian mentions a 25 minute workout but it's really only 20.
I've only done level 1 which is a warm-up, three circuits with the weight/kettle ball and a cool down.
I like the moves but after doing No More Trouble Zones I wished the workout was just a tad longer.
Some moves in level 1 are hard! There is a jumping squat for instance which you can do with or without the weight. Even without the weight I was struggling!
Overall, it's a nice quick way to get some strength in but I think it should have at least been 35 minutes of actual circuits.
